How many sessions do I need?

Initially 3 sessions 1 week apart are needed for each area of the scalp. During each session more pigment is added into the scalp in thin layers gradually changing the color of the skin and matching it to your natural hair texture and color. You see results after each session.

Arrive to your appointment 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment, well rested and relaxed. You should wash your hair the day before the procedure and scalp should be clean without any products.

What can I expect after each session?

Before each session be sure sure to arrive with no products or topical treatments in your hair. Wait 4 to 5 days to wash your hair to give your skin time to heal. You will see the results right away as the pigment settles into the skin.

How is Scalp Micropigmentation applied?

Scalp Micropigmentation semi-permanent ink is non-surgical; the hair loss application takes about two hours per session, and there is no down-time. The treatment involves the gentle placement of mineral based pigments onto the outer derma layer of the scalp.

Does Scalp Micropigmentation hurt?

The level of discomfort varies from person to person. A strong topical numbing cream can be applied. Scalp Micropigmentation uses a single acupuncture needle that gently vibrates on the outer dermal layers of the skin, therefore discomfort is minimal.

How often do I need to have my scalp shaded?

Maintenance appointments are optional. If you do not maintain Scalp Micropigmentation, it will completely fade away over time. (it can last up to 4 to 6 years on the skin)

Can I recieve Scalp Micropigmentation if I have had hair transplants?

Yes! Scalp Micropigmentation procedure is completely safe so you will not lose any of your natural or transplanted hair from the scalp shading. Scalp shading does not damage the hair follicles in any way, will not cause any hair loss. Because it is so artfully applied, with surgical-quality fine instruments, Micro Scalp Shading can even camouflage scars created by hair transplants.

What happens if I get a tan?

When your skin tans, the mineral-based pigment applied into the skin will not change color or tan with the surrounding skin. We suggest using sunblock to prevent fading of the Scalp Micropigmentation.
